Monday Review

So, this week was kind of a bust for me. I did ok with my eating, but barely got any exercise. Part of the problem was energy: I was tired all week from being up every night with my youngest. Also, I'm taking the kids to visit my parents next week and have a to-do list 3 miles long. And I'm sure that I can come up with 20 more excuses if you'll give me a minute or two...
How did you guys do?

New Goal: Refocus! Re-energize! Rest!

I did pretty good. I finally stepped on a scale though and from the last time I weighed myself (about a month ago) I'm UP so I'm not sure if my good behavior the last couple of weeks lost me any weight or not. Perhaps I was higher than the scale said a few weeks ago but didn't know it. AHHH! I missed Fri/Sat at the gym 'cause I hurt my hand - poor excuse, I could have still run I guess - but I was just tired. Same problem as you Kristen - up at night with the baby.

My goals are to make sure to get to the gym, and really focus on not indulding cravings or hunger pangs (that I have ALL DAY).

I'm holding steady at 130. *sigh* Gym... not so hot. Like you, too tired for lack of sleep. My youngest will crawl into bed with us AND my 9 month old dog has to be let out every couple of hours. And most of the time, she just wanders around the back yard for 15 minutes. I need that half hour, thank you.
I've done really well with the eating. WW helped me grasp the concept of portions and Body for Life helped me to eat right. Now if I can simply get to the gym... I'd be set.

I finally got to resist my resistance to push ups and did great! I did at least 3 times what I usually did and was sore (but not as sore as I thought I was going to be) for a few days after that.

I tried two new classes too: a boot camp workout that really wears me out (I did it again this morning) and a strength class that I loved. We did all kinds of weights and things. I'm also going to try out a yoga class this Wednesday.

As for walking I have a new walking partner, yeah! She lives really close to my new apartment and we're going walking tomorrow at 8:00. I think her daughter (10) might come too. Maybe we'll walk on Thursday morning as well.

As for weight I've just been maintaining. I've GOT to get back into calorie counting except I'm not going to until mid August. I'm picking up my 7 year old next Monday and will have her for the next 6 weeks. We're going to be traveling, playing, and doing all kinds of things, so I'm not going to stress about calorie counting.

New goals for this week:

1. Only one dessert this week! And no seconds are necessary.

2. Walk to the airport (and back) to see how long it will take me. The airport is just up the hill and a ways down the street from me, I just don't know how far exactly. This way I'll know if I can just walk there Monday morning or if I should pay a taxi.

Woo hoo, I actually walked to the airport and back! I wasn't planning on doing it today, but I needed to get out of the house and decided to go for a walk. Well, it took me 20 minutes to walk there and 20 minutes back. It was a lot faster then I thought it was going to be!
