Sooo, how was your week? Mine was...different. I'm having a hard time re-aligning our schedules and routines to fit into school. Getting up early is not something I relish. Other than stressing myself out for no apparent reason about every aspect of our daily routine, I did really well this week. I've lost 2 more pounds. I've been walking Pippi to school in the morning, which I think is really helping, and working out with the Wii, which I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing me rave about. Also, I didn't really snack a lot this week, which has been kind of a big deal breaker for me. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with my progress thus far. Now if only I can get the rest of my life in some semblance of order...
Goals this week: 1/2 lb weight loss
Get more sleep (more on this later)

How much do Wii's and the Wii fit (I have no idea what I'm talking about - if they're the same thing or not) cost? Is there a "better" place to get them, price-wise? I actually DO want to hear more about it ;) I'm getting pretty depressed and need to do something and paying for a gym membership isn't helping. Not sure why - I just can't get motivated for some reason even though I hate mirrors at the moment. I just feel disgusting and am praying that I haven't permanently done damage to my body with my weight - ie. extra skin, stretch marks (well, those ARE permanant and I CAN see ALL of them), etc.
Congrats on losing two lbs that's great! Do you walk all the way to the back of the school from your place? That's a long walk! Do you wind through the "new" subdivision area? When I lived with my parents (and now when I visit) we'd walk through that new area, except starting out from the foot path by our neighborhood. It's a great place to walk as there's little to no traffic.
I did my exercise and did really well on calorie counting, except for one day, but I always let myself have one day in the week that I can go over on my calories... just not TOO much.
I hurt my foot, though, during kick boxing last week so I didn't go to the kick box class this morning. I'm not sure what I'm going to do instead as I NEED to work out. I don't want all my calorie counting to be for nothing if I don't work out!
Marie- I'm not sure of the cost of the actual Wii, we have a friend who works for a game store who held one for us and Bob traded in a bunch of his old games, remotes, memory cards, gameboy and ps2 for credit towards it, so it only ended up costing us around $60. Same thing with the WiiFit (which is like a game with extra hardware, basically) but I do know that the basic WiiFit is $90. It really is helpful, and since I know you're super competitive:) I think it would work well for you. You get ranked against each other as you do exercises and whatnot. Fun.
Rachel, we do walk in the back way, down Mitchell. We did have a short cut through some new construction, but it's closed off now. It is a bit of a long haul, but both kids are in the jogging stroller, so not too bad. Sorry to hear about your foot! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Also, try a yoga or pilates class of video til you're healed: low impact but effective!
